Establish and evaluate contact with clients

Performance Criteria

  • The client's requirements are identified
  • The client is enabled to determine the use of services available
  • The client's initial concerns and issues are identified
  • The client agrees the service to be provided
  • The client agrees the boundaries of the professional relationship
  • The client agrees the method and contract of working
  • The setting for client contact is safe and appropriate

  • The client is assisted to evaluate overall progress
  • The setting for client contact is safe and appropriate
  • Counselling sessions are reviewed
