Resources

The Education Committee undertook a trawl for resources which would be useful to healthcare chaplaincies during the summer of 2004. Many thanks are due to the many chaplaincies which submitted resources in response to this request. These resources have now been assembled here and indexed and are available for colleagues to download as they wish.

Two indexes are available to guide you in identifying the documents which may help you:

•  The first is a guide to the sort of documents these are e.g. policy statement or training resource. [Document Index]

•  The second indexes the content of each document by its content related to faith community e.g. Christian, Hindu etc.
[Faith Community Index]

Once identified, the individual documents can be downloaded.

In accessing these resources, you should bear in mind that these are compiled by several different authors and may therefore have differing emphases or understandings. The MFGHC does not suggest that these are all accurate nor has it sought to check each document against a blueprint of its own. What is available here is a collection of the best practice in multi-faith healthcare chaplaincy intended to be helpful and educative.

If you are concerned about any aspect of these resources please will you contact the MFGHC secretariat as soon as possible
[training@mfghc.com]. We will ask the authors if they wish to update their text in the light of comments and tell you of the progress which is being made.
